I have over 15 years experience as a Psychiatric APRN treating a wide variety of clients in a wide variety of settings. I first seek to understand.

Medications absolutely have their place but must be used judiciously as part of an overall wellbeing care plan.

In addition to advanced psychopharmacology, I have training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Trauma-informed care, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Perinatal mental healthcare.

I seek to be an ally to vulnerable and oppressed groups.

Services

  • We start with a careful intake assessment. This typically takes 45-50 minutes.

  • Psychotherapy has proven benefits. I offer supportive psychotherapy, when needed, in conjunction with medication prescribing. For those wanting to engage in deeper, more intensive therapy I recommend having a separate licensed therapist (LICSW, APRN, PhD, PsD, LMHC).

  • Intake assessments in no way guarantee that medication will be prescribed or that a particular medication will be prescribed. Medications are offered under certain clinical circumstances as part of a successful treatment plan. We always review and discuss potential risks and benefits.
